How an entry gets here, and how sure it is
- Where it comes from
- The vendor’s own pricing page and home page, plus the public repository metadata, read once a night and compared against the previous read. The home page is in there because that is where a company writes that it has been acquired or that it is shutting down.
- Why some rows are marked
- A repository being archived or a status flipping is a fact from an API and is marked high confidence. A price read off a marketing page is not the same kind of fact, and those rows say so rather than being presented as equally certain.
- What it is not
- Not a release-notes mirror. A tool shipping a feature is not a change to what it costs or what you can get for free, and it does not appear here.
