Using and quoting the data

Every board, tool record and comparison on this site is free to read, and the JSON underneath is read-only, unauthenticated and open to any origin. Quote it, cite it, chart it or feed it to something else.

One request that is not a legal condition but is the difference between a citation being right and being wrong: quote the capture date alongside the number. A rank here is a snapshot of one night, and it changes overnight. A figure lifted without its date will be stale within a day and will read as a claim about the present.

What the figures claim

The board ranks adoption — token volume routed through the coding tools tracked here. It does not rank capability. No benchmark is run, nothing is scored for correctness, and a model cheap enough to leave running can lead on volume alone. Rank 1 is the model being used the most, not the model that writes the best code, and nothing on this site is evidence of the second thing.

Prices are read from vendors’ published per-token rates and blended prompt to completion at three to one. Where a model appears in usage data with no published price, it is shown as price not published, never as zero. The method page states every rule the nightly job applies, including the ones that limit what these numbers can be used to argue.

Accuracy, and its limits

Prices, plan tiers and statuses are read automatically from vendors’ own public pages once a night. That means three things can be true at once: the figure was correct when it was captured, the vendor has changed it since, and this site has not caught up yet. A change can lag by up to a day, and a vendor page that cannot be reached is recorded as unreachable rather than guessed at.

Some plan pairings are matched by position on a vendor’s pricing page rather than read from a labelled field. Those are marked as scraped and carry the source link next to the number, so the evidence can be checked against the claim.

Corrections

If something here is wrong — a tool marked with the wrong status, a price read off the wrong row, a tool missing from the tracker — write to hello@kynth.studio and it gets fixed at the source, so the correction flows through every page and the API in the next run.
